TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) The Arizona Cardinals have re-signed Alameda Ta'amu to a one-year contract.

The 6-foot-3, 348-pound nose tackle played sparingly in eight games last season after coming back from a knee injury. Ta'amu tore an ACL in the last game of the 2013 season.

The Cardinals claimed him off waivers from the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sept. 1, 2013. He went on to appear in 14 games that season, three as a starter. He had 14 tackles in 2013, three for loss.
