Denver Broncos running back C.J. Anderson called out NFL insider Ian Rapoport on Twitter, claiming his report of Anderson’s season-ending injury is false.

It’s not too often that Ian Rapoport gets the call wrong. However, he apparently did so on Thursday morning. The NFL Network insider tweeted out that Anderson would be out for the season due to an undisclosed injury sustained on Monday night against the Houston Texans. While Anderson did not practice on Wednesday, there was not much worry about his long-term viability.

However, Rapoport’s tweet set off massive alarm bells to the likelihood of Denver being without its main back for the duration. In a stunning plot twist, Anderson fired back with his own tweet only minutes later, saying that the insider got it wrong.

It’s incredible to see Anderson take aim at Rapoport on social media. It’s the ultimate diss from a player, who was clearly upset that the facts hadn’t been straightened out. In this day and age, it is exceedingly tough to be both quick and accurate, and unfortunately for Rapoport – an excellent reporter – he failed to get good info this time around.

Of course, it would surprise no one if Anderson ends up being out for a huge chunk of time, making Rapoport look much better.
