Buccaneers do some team bonding on final day of minicamp
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had their final day of mandatory minicamp scheduled for Thursday, but apparently head coach Lovie Smith chose to take it off the football field, according to Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times.
Rumor has it, the team did a bit of bowling and also enjoyed some Kona Ice, thanks to Gerald McCoy.
"The Bucs said the high score was rolled by rookie WR Kenny Bell, whose 204 was more impressive considering he'd been held out of two days of practices with a hamstring injury. And for a second year in a row, DT Gerald McCoy paid for a Kona Ice shaved ice truck to cool off his teammates with treats."
That's a pretty nice way to finish out a minicamp that one can only imagine was pretty warm. The time off was probably welcomed by the players, and next up comes the start of training camp in the beginning of August.
