Bruce Arians taken to local hospital before Cardinals practice


Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians was taken to a local hospital Tuesday before the team's practice in San Diego after experiencing stomach pain, the Cardinals announced.

Arians was checked by medical personnel and taken to the hospital for further evaluation. The Cardinals were scheduled to practice with the Chargers.
Arians reportedly spent the night in the hospital and is expected to be released and to rejoin the team Wednesday.

Arians, 63, has been the team’s head coach since 2013, leading the Cardinals to double-digit wins in each of his first three seasons. He's been named coach of the year twice and guided Arizona to the NFL title game last season.
