Browns err in trying to call draftee

The Cleveland Browns tried to phone a friend this weekend ... and failed.

The Browns drafted USC tight end Jordan Cameron early in the fourth round and later called him Saturday to get biographical information on him. That's when things became awkward in a hurry, according to SI.com.

"Uh, yeah, this is Cameron Jordan,'' he said, according to SI.com. "But the Saints already picked me. ... I think you mean Jordan Cameron, you're looking for Jordan Cameron. That's not me."

Cameron Jordan, a defensive end from Cal, was drafted late in the first round by the New Orleans Saints.
