Broncos want to prevent Pats fans from buying AFC title game tickets

The Denver Broncos do not want Mile High Stadium to be infiltrated with New England Patriots fans on Sunday.

Tickets for the AFC title game went on sale on Monday, and Denver had a scheme that was clearly meant to prevent Patriots fans from getting their hands on any.

According to the Denver Post’s Joe Nguyen, tickets to the game were only sold to people who had a billing address in the Rocky Mountain region, which includes parts of eight states including and surrounding Colorado.

Will it work? Well, probably not completely. If any Patriots fans have relatives or friends in those states, it’s a simple workaround, and this won’t do anything to prevent tickets from hitting the resale market where nobody will be subject to restrictions. Still, it’s clever that they’re trying.
