Broncos RB Ball acting like his 2014 groin injury never happened

Montee Ball isn't thinking about the groin injury that cost him a starting job.
The third-year Broncos running back has shut it out -- both mentally and physically.
“It feels great — 100 percent right now and it’s just confidence (building)," Ball told CBS 4 in Denver. "My confidence is high with it. In a way I’m kind of acting like it never even happened."
Ball has to avoid the depth chart to keep any reminders at bay. He left a Week 5 game against the Cardinals as Denver's starting tailback. He returned six weeks later from that groin injury as a reserve.
Ball doesn't consider himself a second fiddle to starter C.J. Anderson. And now that he's healthy, he's gunning after the job he once lost.
“I tell (Anderson) every day that I’m coming for my spot, and he tells me every day he’s going to keep it," Ball said. "So it’s great, it’s going to make the offense better, which is going to make the team better.”
