Broncos lose Bailey with left foot injury

Published Oct. 20, 2013 11:45 p.m. ET

Denver Broncos cornerback Champ Bailey was ruled out of the second half of Sunday night's game at Indianapolis after injuring his left foot.

Bailey left the game after his foot caught underneath a scrum trying to tackle Colts running back Trent Richardson with 4:45 left in the first half. Team officials originally said his return was questionable. He was ruled out after halftime.

Bailey missed the first five games this season with an injury to the same foot.

Indianapolis will play the second half without defensive back Delano Howell, who went out with a neck injury.
