Vernon Davis would've rather spent his Sunday as the Broncos' starting tight end.
That could come in time. Until then, the newly-acquired tight end will spend games watching and learning -- just as he did on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.
“I was just absorbing it all in, watching some of my teammates, Owen Daniels and Virgil (Green),” Davis old Nicki Jhabvala of the Denver Post. “Watching those guys and learning from them as I continue to move forward.”

He'd be wise to pick Daniels' brain. The career Gary Kubiak pupil knows the playbook in and out; he caught six passes for 102 yards and touchdown on Sunday.
