Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Wade Phillips was taken off the sidelines on a stretcher in the second quarter of Sunday’s game after taking a big hit from Chargers player. He was rushed to a hospital in an ambulance after exiting the stadium for further testing, but he was released on Sunday night.
On Monday, Phillips himself offered an update on his condition with a couple of tweets, saying he is “OK today and back to work.”
He also wanted to clarify exactly what happened on the sideline.

Phillips is in his second season with the Broncos after helping lead the team to a Super Bowl victory last year. He’s played a huge role in elevating Denver’s defense over the past two seasons.
