Bowles: Revis still in concussion protocol, 'making slight progress'

Darrelle Revis missed his first game since 2012 on Sunday, sitting out due to a concussion suffered two weeks ago. His status remains up in the air for this week's game against the New York Giants as the New York Jets will likely prepare to be without him once again.

On Monday, head coach Todd Bowles gave an update on Revis' condition, but he didn't sound overly optimistic. Bowles said he's still in concussion protocol and is "making slight progress."

Bowles also said he wants to see how Revis progresses during the week before making a determination on his status for Sunday. Revis' replacement, Marcus Williams, suffered a sprained MCL against the Miami Dolphins, and is considered day-to-day.

If the Jets are without Revis and Williams against the Giants, Odell Beckham Jr. could have a big day against the likes of Antonio Cromartie and Buster Skrine in the secondary. Revis has three interceptions this season -- all of which came in the first five games -- but has struggled of late, as the rest of the Jets defense has.
