Blaine Gabbert praises Colin Kaepernick's improvement over past year

The 2014 season wasn't at all great for Colin Kaepernick.

Statistically, it was his worst season as a pro.

To only heighten the situation, the 49ers missed the playoffs after three straight NFC Championship appearances.

Kaepernick worked with two-time MVP Kurt Warner in the offseason to fine-tune his development at the quarterback position.

So far, it appears the work has paid off, at least in Blaine Gabbert's eyes.

“I think he’s just more and more comfortable," Gabbert said of Kaepernick's progress. "And everybody’s going to talk about throwing and this (and that), but I think the thing that I’ve seen of him is he’s comfortable in this offense ... the more and more comfortable the quarterbacks get, I’d say the better our offense is going to be.”

Certainly, the better Kaepernick plays, the better the offense will be.

If the positive offseason reports are any indication that Kaepernick is ready to put his 2014 struggles behind him, it would be a tremendous win for Jim Tomsula's squad come fall.
