Bills LB Moats expected to miss 2 more weeks

Buffalo Bills backup linebacker Arthur Moats will miss at least the first two weeks of the regular season while recovering from a right leg injury.

Coach Chan Gailey provided the update following practice Monday as the Bills prepare to open at Kansas City on Sunday. Moats has already missed two weeks since being hurt in a 24-10 preseason loss at Denver on Aug. 20.

Moats had 2-1/2 sacks in 15 games, including four starts, as a rookie last season. The sixth-round draft pick out of James Madison is best remembered for a blindside hit on Brett Favre in December that eventually ended the then-Vikings quarterback's NFL-record starts streak at 297 games.

Linebacker Alex Carrington was held out of practice for precautionary reasons. Gailey expects Carrington to practice Wednesday.
