Bills confirm HC Rex Ryan, GM Doug Whaley will return in 2016
The Buffalo Bills have failed to meet expectations in 2015 as they enter the final week of the season with a disappointing 7-8 record. Even with a win in the finale on Sunday, they'll fall one game short of last season's win total -- something Rex Ryan never expected to do in his first year with the team.
For as big of a letdown the Bills have been, changes to the coaching staff and front office aren't likely to be made. Team owner Terry Pegula issued a statement on Wednesday confirming that both Ryan and general manager Doug Whaley will return in 2016 to form a "winning future for the organization."

This marks the 16th consecutive season the Bills have missed the playoffs. Pegula, however, sounds confident Ryan and Whaley can end that streak in the near future. Ryan guaranteed a playoff berth before the season began, but admitted he was wrong for saying that on Wednesday.
"Obviously I wish I wouldn't say some stupid thing that I said," Ryan said. "But I get it. That's just me, but sometimes I wish ... you know, because I think you see the impact it has. My heart was in the right place, I thought I'm telling the truth. But at the same time, it's like I never look at it as what if this doesn't go exactly the way I expect it to go. Well, I'm seeing right now."
