Bengals TE Eifert leaves game win over Rams with stinger

Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert was forced out of Sunday's 31-7 win over the St. Louis Rams with a stinger.

Eifert appeared to suffer the injury chasing down a fumble at the end of a 45-yard catch-and-run by Giovani Bernard in midway through the third quarter. The Bengals went up 24-7 two plays later on an 18-yard touchdown catch by A.J. Green.

Cincinnati scored again on the ensuing possession on Leon Hall's 19-yard interception return for a touchdown. Eifert was downgraded from probable to return to doubtful with the Bengals comfortably ahead 31-7.

Eifert notched his NFL-leading 12th touchdown before exiting, a 22-yard reception from Andy Dalton in the second quarter. He finished the day with 40 yards on 3 catches.
