Bengals sign first-rounder Cedric Ogbuehi
The Bengals now have their entire 2015 draft class under contract after coming to terms with 21st overall pick Cedric Ogbuehi.
The offensive tackle out of Texas A&M slots into the area of four years, $9.3 million with a $5.0 million signing bonus, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.
Ogbuehi is still recovering from the torn ACL he suffered in the Liberty Bowl last season. He's been working out on the side during OTAs, but is still holding out hope that he'll be ready for training camp.
"It's great to have all these guys in the fold well before we open training camp," said Bengals coach Marvin Lewis said. "We are looking to get a lot of help from this group to extend our string of playoff appearances and then go farther. With Cedric, that help will come a little farther down the road, but this is a guy who's worth a little wait."
The Bengals can afford to be patient with their first-round pick since the stout Andrew Whitworth is still one of the best left tackles in the game. Andre Smith is slated to play on the right side and the team also used their second-round selection on another offensive tackle, Jake Fisher out of Oregon.
