Bengals put linebacker Porter on injury list

CINCINNATI (AP) The Bengals placed linebacker Sean Porter on the injured reserve list Tuesday, two days after he tore a ligament in his right knee during a loss at New England.

Porter was a fourth-round pick from Texas A&M last year. He missed last season with a shoulder injury suffered during training camp. He also missed the first three games this season with an injured hamstring and was active for the first time on Sunday night.

The Bengals acquired rookie linebacker Khairi (KIGH'-ree) Fortt through waivers from New Orleans. The fourth-round pick is recovering from a leg injury. New Orleans released him on Monday, a week before he would have been eligible to return to practice.
