Bengals' Adam Jones added to Pro Bowl
Adam Jones will get at least one more chance to wear a Bengals helmet.
Jones was added to the Pro Bowl roster on Monday, the first selection of his nine-year career. He was originally selected as a fifth alternate, but injuries -- such as the one to teammate Reggie Nelson -- and Super Bowl obligations like the one held by Denver cornerback Aqib Talib. Jones had three interceptions and 12 passes defensed in 14 games.

Despite emerging as the Bengals' top corner in 2015, Jones' season ended on a sour note. His unsportsmanlike conduct penalty in the final minute of Cincinnati's playoff loss to Pittsburgh set up the game-winning field goal. He is now set to test the market as an unrestricted free agent, but has expressed a willingness to return to Cincinnati out of loyalty to Marvin Lewis.
Coming off a three-year, $5.35 million contract, Jones figures to receive a big raise this offseason, especially with his value being enhanced as a returner. The Bengals have never been one to overpay, so it will be interesting to see how much of a hometown discount he'll be willing to offer.
Jones is the seventh Bengal named to the Pro Bowl, joining A.J. Green, Tyler Eifert, Andrew Whitworth, Geno Atkins, Carlos Dunlap and Nelson. The Pro Bowl Draft will be held Wednesday night with captains Jerry Rice and Michael Irvin choosing sides for Sunday evening's game in Hawaii.
