Bears WR Alshon Jeffery sits five of first 10 games in contract year

Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery hasn't been able to shake the injury bug in a big season. On Sunday, he was declared inactive for Chicago's Week 11 matchup versus the Denver Broncos.

This is the fifth time Jeffery has been inactive for a game this season. He's currently battling groin and shoulder injuries, after overcoming calf and hamstring injuries earlier in the year. The missed time is particularly concerning, since Jeffery is in a contract year.
Jeffery's free-agency stock may have spiked during his healthiest stretch. In Weeks 6 through 9, the game-changing receiver averaged 138 yards per game. He will have to make one more healthy comeback this season in order to stay atop the wide receiver talent pool expected to hit the open market next spring.
