Atlanta WR Jenkins, S Coleman scratched vs. Saints

Published Sep. 26, 2010 5:23 p.m. ET

The Atlanta Falcons scratched receiver Michael Jenkins and safety Erik Coleman for Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints.

Jenkins had practiced on Friday, but was limited by a shoulder injury. Harry Douglas was slated to start in Jenkins' spot. Coleman had missed practice all week with knee soreness but was not been officially ruled out until shortly before Sunday.

The Saints had already ruled out running back Reggie Bush with a broken right leg, along with cornerback Randall Gay (concussion) and linebacker Anthony Waters (hamstring). Safety Usama Young (quadriceps) also was deactivated. New Orleans' healthy scratches included tight end Tory Humphrey, receiver Adrian Arrington and defensive end Junior Galette.
