Arnoux reportedly finds stolen ring

New Orleans Saints linebacker Stanley Arnoux has been reunited with his Super Bowl XLIV ring after it was allegedly stolen and pawned by a Miami hotel worker, WSVN-TV reported Thursday.

Arnoux, who was a rookie on the Saints' championship team in 2009, discovered the cherished item was missing after going to a party at Miami's Fontainebleau Hotel during Memorial Day weekend. The ring was taken out of the glove box, along with $200, after Arnoux left his car with the valet.

Police arrested Gil Ulloa, a valet manger at the Fontainebleau, accusing him of pawning the ring for $1,200 at a local jewelry store.

According to the owner of Kendale Jewelry, Alberto Iturrey, Ulloa returned to the store a few days after pawning the ring to ask what the store planned to do with it.

"I found that odd. I found that very odd," Iturrey told the station.

The diamond-encrusted item is valued at more than $30,000, but Iturrey said he only offered $1,200 based on the amount of gold in the ring.

Iturrey said he had to use Twitter to locate Arnoux, since he could not go through the Saints because NFL teams are not allowed to contact their players amid the lockout.

Iturrey said Arnoux's "eyes watered" when he got the ring back.

Arnoux was drafted by the Saints out of Wake Forest in 2009, but missed the entire Super Bowl season with an Achilles injury. The 25-year-old was on the team's active roster for the first 10 games of last season before suffering another Achilles injury.
