The Green Bay Packers are now a man down in terms of talent evaluation. Longtime area scout Lee Gissendaner has been hired away by the New York Jets, as reported by ESPN's Rob Demovsky.

Gissendaner had been with the Packers since 1998 (area scout since 2001), but the Jets offered him an enticing promotion. In New York, he'll be a national scout.

Demovsky confirmed that Gissendaner was the only member Green Bay's personnel department to depart this spring, but he had no information about a possible replacement.
