49ers' Tomsula dismisses idea of QB switch: 'Not on my mind'

The San Francisco 49ers have scored one touchdown in eight quarters so that was the topic of discussion following Sunday's 17-3 home loss to the Green Bay Packers.

"Offensively we've got to get some things ironed out and that starts with me," first-year coach Jim Tomsula said after the 49ers were limited to eight first downs and 196 total yards in their third consecutive defeat.

Beleaguered quarterback Colin Kaepernick was sacked six times by the Packers one week after he tossed a career-high four interceptions in a 47-7 drubbing by the Arizona Cardinals.

Tomsula, though, dismissed any talk of giving backup Blaine Gabbert a start in place of Kaepernick, who completed 13-of-passes for 160 yards and an interception and led San Francisco in rushing with 57 yards on 10 carries.

"Won't even go into that discussion. Not on my mind," said Tomsula, whose team has been outscored 107-28 during the three-game skid.
