49ers Guaranteed a Victory with Bye this Sunday

Published Jun. 30, 2017 6:28 p.m. ET

The San Francisco 49ers are guaranteed a victory this Sunday by virtue of their bye. As disappointing as the 49ers have been this season, simply not playing a game can be considered a victory for 49ers fans who can once again enjoy their Sunday.

San Francisco 49ers fans have had it rough this NFL season — very, very rough. After six straight losses, 49ers fans will take any win they can get. A bye definitely counts.

Sometimes not playing a game is better than getting humiliated. For the 49ers this season, that is definitely the case.

Just think of what you will be able to do without having to watch the 49ers lay an egg on Sunday. Perhaps you’ll be able to clean the house, paint a room, or maybe even watch a competitive football game.
