2026 Super Bowl Odds: Bears Soar After Routing Defending Champs

The 49ers remain the favorites to win the Super Bowl, but there’s been plenty of movement behind them after Week 8.

The Bears' Super Bowl odds climbed earlier in the week after they acquired star defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons from the Titans. Then, in Simmons’ Chicago debut, the Bears made a massive statement by blowing out the defending Super Bowl champion Seahawks in Seattle.

Meanwhile, the Ravens are heading in the opposite direction after an injury to Lamar Jackson.

Jackson will undergo thumb surgery and be placed on injured reserve. He’ll miss an extended period of time and could potentially even be out for the rest of the season.

As a result, Baltimore’s Super Bowl odds have plummeted.

The Favorite: The 49ers remain the outright Super Bowl favorites, but their odds have slipped from +540 to +580 after their first loss of the season against the Falcons in Week 7. San Francisco is now 6-1, and the injuries continue to pile up. Brock Purdy has been playing at an MVP level, but with a growing injury list, how much longer can the 49ers hold on to the top spot?

Bears Surge: Chicago’s defense has struggled over the past two seasons, but Jeffery Simmons gives the Bears a major boost up front. Since the start of 2025, he leads all defensive tackles in sacks (15), tackles for loss (23), pressures against double-teams (28), quick pressures (31), turnovers caused by pressure (six) and third-down sacks (9.5). The Bears already have a capable offense and their defense made a statement in Simmons’ debut on Monday night. Chicago held the defending Super Bowl champion Seahawks to 17 points and 188 passing yards in a blowout win in Seattle. The Bears became the second team in NFL history to beat both of the previous season’s Super Bowl teams in back-to-back games without trailing in either. Between the trade and the win, Chicago’s Super Bowl odds shortened from +1400 to +950, tying them with the Jaguars for third on the oddsboard.

Rams Back?: The Rams beat the Chargers on Sunday to win back-to-back games for the first time this season and get back to .500. With Myles Garrett expected back soon, L.A. could have the pieces to overcome its slow start.

Ravens Fall: Baltimore’s Super Bowl odds fell from +1300 to +10000 after a 36-10 loss to the Bills on Sunday, one that brought more bad news at quarterback. After waiting three weeks for Jackson to return, the Ravens lost him after just one offensive snap. Jackson will undergo thumb surgery and be placed on injured reserve, with his return this season uncertain. Backup Tyler Huntley then suffered a toe injury in the first half, forcing emergency quarterback Joe Fagnano into action. Baltimore has now lost three straight and sits last in the AFC North at 4-4, making it the division’s only team without a winning record.
