LeBron says family, health will determine whether he plays in 2016 Olympics
LeBron James has a spot on the roster for the 2016 Olympics if he wants it. USA Basketball chairman Jerry Colangelo has said so on more than one occasion.
But will James want it?
Considering that we're still a year away, it's far too early to tell. But LeBron gave us a glimpse inside what his decision-making process will involve when that time comes.
"All my decisions start with my family," James said, via Ethan Skolnick of Bleacher Report. "Seeing how my family feels about it. Then with my health."
There's another component to consider, too, which is all of the miles James has already put on his body at this stage of his career -- more than all-time greats like Larry Bird and Magic Johnson.
It'll be very interesting to see just how important chasing a third gold medal is to James. Our guess is that the outcome of the upcoming NBA season will have plenty to do with his decision, along with the other important factors that he was willing to mention.
