Chris 'Birdman' Andersen reportedly agrees to a 1-year deal with the Cavaliers

Chris "Birdman" Andersen has reportedly agreed to a one-year deal with the Cavaliers, according to a report from Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports. Cleveland completed a trade with the Philadelphia 76ers just prior to making the deal with Andersen in order to make things work under the salary cap.

Philadelphia sent the rights to Chukwudiebere Maduabum to the Cavaliers in exchange for Sasha Kaun and cash considerations. Kaun, 31, came over from Russia to join Cleveland last season but played sparingly and averaged just 3.8 minutes per game in 25 regular-season appearances. He is under contract for $1.3 million next season.

Andersen, 38, has played 14 NBA seasons for eight different teams. He won a championship playing alongside LeBron James with the Miami Heat in 2013, and that connection is likely a primary reason he's being added to the Cavaliers roster. Andersen appeared in 20 games for the Grizzlies last season and averaged 4.6 points and 4.5 rebounds in 18.3 minutes per contest.
