Bulls coach Hoiberg: Kobe was closest to Jordan that I've seen
Kobe Bryant made it official that this season would be his last, and that means that basically everyone involved in the NBA would be asked for their thoughts on the storied career of one of the game's all-time greats.
Bulls head coach Fred Hoiberg fell into that category, and said at shootaround on Monday that Bryant was the closest thing to Michael Jordan that he had ever seen.
Bryant intentionally modeled his career after Jordan's, because, if you had the ability to do so, why wouldn't you? The comparisons will be there forever, and Hoiberg was merely confirming what the rest of us saw.
Bulls head coach Fred Hoiberg was asked if Kobe Bryant was the closest player to Michael Jordan that he had seen: "I think so," Hoiberg said. "Kobe, what he accomplished, the way he did it, the way he scored it, the tough shots that he hit, the fadeaways, the athleticism he did it with, the grace, yeah, I think he probably is the closest thing to Michael."
