Bucks take a look at Milwaukee native Kevon Looney

In the latest round of pre-draft workout news, the Milwaukee Bucks are taking a look at UCLA big man Kevon Looney.

Looney, a Milwaukee native, spent one year at UCLA before declaring for the draft. Looney projects to be a solid rebounding power forward who can space the floor on the other end, which is something the Bucks could use up front behind given the departure of Larry Sanders last season.

Here's more from Matt Velazquez of the Journal Sentinel:

"Looney, who did not meet with the Bucks at the NBA draft combine last month, is easily the most intriguing prospect at Thursday's workout. After averaging 11.6 points and 9.2 rebounds during his one season at UCLA, the 6-foot-9 forward is projected to be picked somewhere in the middle of the first round, which is exactly where the Bucks stand at No. 17. At the combine, Looney said that even as a 19-year-old he feels prepared for the NBA game. He also indicated he wouldn't be opposed to returning to his home state as a professional."
