He's the No. 1 pick in our most recent mock draft. He's been compared to LeBron James by visionaries like Magic Johnson.

Yes, life is good for LSU freshman Ben Simmons. On Tuesday, the 19-year-old Australian proudly tweeted a picture of a gorgeous pair of Tigers-themed LeBron IXs, complete with "Geaux Tigers" spelled out across the ankle strap, and tagged King James himself:

The LSU LeBrons are just one pair in a mighty collection of kicks that Simmons can't help but show off to the world. Here, he shared a glimpse at his extensive collection of LeBron 13s:

The relationship between Simmons and James apparently goes back a while, the King told The Times Picayune:

"I've watched him way before he showed up in Baton Rouge," James said. ''I've watched him excel for three or four years now. He worked my camp this summer as a college kid.

"I'm not surprised. He's a talented guy."

Sure, it's all praise and compliments now. But in a year, when Simmons is on the floor and staring at James on the other side, there will be no mercy -- especially if Simmons makes the mistake of wearing a signature LeBron sneaker against him in competition.
