One of best players in team history, Hagan was a standout for many successful St. Louis Hawk teams. While there, he made great teams better. Even while being in a rotation of Hall of Famers, Hagan consistently held his own. In the 1958 season, he began his dominance on the league, scoring slightly under 20 points a night. He snagged ten rebounds a game and was rewarded with an All-Star Game invitation.

 Who wore #17 most recently?

Dennis Schroder (2014-)

The 6’1 speedstar was drafted by the Hawks with the 17th pick in the 2013 NBA Draft. Straight out of Germany, his first sports love was skateboarding. He found basketball at the age of eleven and ran off with it. Schroder has been the Hawks’ sixth man for the past two seasons, backing up All-Star Jeff Teague. He broke out during the 2014-15 season, giving Coach Budenholzer’s bench the perfect mix between recklessness and dominance. Next season, Schroder will be thrusted into a starting role, as Teague was shipped off prior to the 2016 NBA Draft. The Blonde Patch will finally be unleashed onto the league and will likely battle for the Most Improved Player award.
