OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) Colby Lewis of the Texas Rangers is pitching a perfect game through six innings against the Oakland Athletics.

Lewis has thrown 69 pitches Thursday in Oakland.

In the sixth, Muncy tried to bunt for a hit with the game scoreless and Lewis threw him out.

Texas took a 1-0 lead in the seventh on a home run by Ian Desmond.

Lewis was 5-0 this season going into the game. The 36-year-old was making his 14th start of the year.

The A's have not been no-hit since four Baltimore pitchers combined to do it in 1991.

Kenny Rogers threw the last no-hitter for Texas, a perfect game against the Angels in 1994.
