Jung Ho Kang's transition to the Majors hasn't been easy, but the Korean shortstop is starting to get the hang of things.

Kang has five hits in his last 11 at-bats and on Sunday he belted his first career homer.

"I was ready," Kang told Pirates.com through interpreter H.K. Kim. "My timing on it was perfect, and I put a good swing on it."

Kang hit 40 home runs in 117 games in Korea last season, but had not been able to find his power stroke since joining the Pirates.
