Marlins' Stanton leaves with leg injury

Published Sep. 4, 2011 6:04 a.m. ET

Right fielder Mike Stanton has left the Florida Marlins' game against the Philadelphia Phillies with right hamstring tightness.

Stanton was taken out after he grounded out to second to end the fifth inning Saturday night. The slugger ran over the base hard, then tumbled to the ground. He was stretched out on the field for a brief moment before walking to the dugout.

Stanton hit his 32nd homer in the third inning.

The Marlins say he is day to day.
