Happy 40th, Derek Jeter; what did Diddy get you?

For a guy who has made a career of highlight-reel plays, what better kind of birthday cake would there be than one that includes reels to hold those highlights?

At Derek Jeter's star-studded 40th birthday celebration on Thursday in New York, the occasion was marked in part by a custom-made, $1,600 cake that included movie reels, photos, a ball and a baseball glove.

The Yankees captain was accompanied by girlfriend Hannah Davis as they dined and then hit a nearby Manhattan club. Former teammates Tino Martinez and Jorge Posada attended the night out, as did other bold-type names — Sean "Diddy" Combs, Michael Strahan, LL Cool J and Timbaland.

And though Jeter's relationship with Davis has sometimes been described as on-again, off-again, the New York Daily News reported that one observer said: "Derek and Hannah were really into each other. She stayed close by his side all night. He seems really into her."
