CBS News bids farewell to 'Michael Jeter,' starts Twitter frenzy
Someone at CBS News made a big mistake.
When the MLB said its goodbyes to New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter with a standing ovation in his final All-Star Game on FOX Tuesday night, the CBS News Twitter account sent out an unfortunate tweet, showing a picture of the Yankee legend with the caption: "Michael Jeter takes a bow at his final All-Star game."
Naturally, the Internet couldn’t let a mistake that big disappear. The people of Twitter had some fun, and Michael Jeter quickly became a trending topic on the site.

We should note that there was a famous Michael Jeter, who was an actor in “Elmo’s World” and the sitcom “Evening Shade,” among other things. He died in 2003.
CBS News, of course, corrected its mistake.
Whoops, we meant to say DEREK Jeter takes bow at his final All-Star game http://t.co/csJROOgNWU
