The announcement on Sunday that Georgia head coach Mark Richt would be stepping down sent some considerable waves throughout the college football landscape.

During his 15-year career in Athens, Richt accumulated 145 victories, nine bowl wins, six division titles, and two conference titles. He's also generally known as a quality individual -- rooted in integrity and character.

Current and former Georgia players and various recruits took to social-media platforms to publicly display their thoughts on the firing.
