Darrian McNeal has the Oregon Ducks on his list, but he was not on Mark Helfrich’s radar.

Oregon Head Coach Willie Taggart has been recruiting since day one of his new position. On Sunday, his hard work started to payoff as he flipped his first recruit. Darrian McNeal was committed to the Arizona Wildcats until the 3-Star Athlete received an offer from the Oregon Ducks. He decommitted and announced he was coming to Eugene on the same day.

Willie Taggart has been swinging for the fences in his first days at the helm, offering several 4-Star recruits out of Florida, as well as reaching out to a 5-Star Quarterback in Hawaii. The dead period to speak with recruits for the next month closes on Tuesday, December 13th.

I grew up watching Oregon and idolizing De’Anthony Thomas. I can see myself flourishing in Willie Taggart’s offense.

Darrian McNeal had offers from 26 schools prior to last week according to 247Sports. None of those Offers were from the Oregon Ducks. McNeal considers Oregon a ‘dream school’ and is ranked the 66th best athlete in his position.

Some services have McNeal listed as an Athlete, others as a Wide Receiver. McNeal is expected to enroll early with Oregon and be set to go in time for Spring Camp.
