FSU football will face a hungry Miami Hurricanes team looking to end two streaks in one game on Saturday night in Primetime.
It’s Miami vs. FSU week, they’ll be two streaks on the line for the Miami Hurricanes. They have lost six straight to the ‘Noles, and haven’t won at home since 2004.
It’s a LONG time since that 16-10 victory in Miami.
Actually, the ‘Noles have won nine of the last 11 against Miami with the two losses coming in Tallahassee in 2007 and 2009.
However, the ‘Canes smell blood in the water as they are undefeated after playing schedule as soft as Chick fil A ice cream.
The ‘Noles are coming off a heartbreaking home loss against UNC on a last second 54 yard field goal.
But, to say it has been a long time since FSU has lost in Miami would be an understatement. Let’s take a look at what was popping the last time Miami beat FSU at home.
In September, the Billboard No. 1 single was “Lean Back” by Fat Joe featuring Remy Martin.
What makes it so bad is Remy Martin went to prison for six years on assault charges, got out and already made another hit song with Fat Joe earlier this year called “All The Way Up” and Miami still hasn’t beat the ‘Noles!

Coaches
There have only been two head coaches at FSU football for the last 40 years. What’s crazy is the ‘Noles have as many wins in the last six years against Miami as Miami has had coaches since the last time Miami beat FSU at home.
Here’s a list of Miami coaches since 2004:
Track and Field
Who is Usain Bolt? At the time he had just turned professional as a sprinter. The world’s fastest man at the 2004 Olympics was Justin Gatlin.
He won the event with a time of 9.85, which wasn’t the world record (9.78) even then. Of course, Usain Bolt would come to obliterate both times just four years later.

NBA
Dwight Howard was the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA Draft that year.
King James wasn’t even known as “King” yet and had just completed his rookie season with the Cleveland Cavaliers. You know, he hadn’t even gone to Miami and won two championships yet.
Kobe Bryant was probably considered the best player on the planet at the time, and he was still playing on the same Los Angeles Lakers team as Shaquille O’Neal.
In fact, that Lakers team lost to the Detroit Pistons (4-1) in the finals. That Detroit team featured players like Ben Wallace and Rasheed Wallace while being coached by Larry Brown.

Conclusion
We could go on and on, but you get the picture that it has been a long time since Miami has beaten FSU in Miami.
In fact, some of the players on both teams were only six or seven years old at the time. This could be Miami’s best shot at beating the ‘Noles since 2010 in Miami. However, we know how that game turned out don’t we?
The game on Saturday night has the potential to be a shutout. The ‘Noles have the higher ranked offense, but the ‘Canes have the higher ranked defense according to S&P + metrics.
