Ducks look to land 4-star RB Kyle Porter

The Oregon Ducks received a valuable commitment from Hawaii RB Vavae Malepeai over the weekend; however, that doesn't mean they're out of the RB market just yet.

Katy High School (Texas) RB Kyle Porter, a four-star recruit, is very interested in the Oregon Ducks and visited the school on Monday.

The Ducks are already stacked at running back for the near future. Thomas Tyner and Royce Freeman will get the bulk of the carries in 2015, while Byron Marshall, Kani Benoit and Tony Brooks-James take turns in a reserve role. Also, the Ducks have 2014 recruits Malik Lovette and Taj Griffin competing for carries.

Needless to say, the Ducks are all set at RB. However, Porter is listed as the No. 3 all-purpose back in the country. That Ducks aren't going to let a player like that get away without a fight.

As a sophomore in 2013, the 5-foot-11 Porter ran for nearly 2,000 yards and 23 touchdowns, but shared the ball with Oklahoma signee Rodney Anderson in 2014. Porter ran for 1,051 yard and 16 touchdowns in 2014 and also caught five touchdown passes.
