Pacific rallies to 74-58 win over Sacramento State

STOCKTON, Calif. (AP) T.J. Wallace made 10 of 12 free throws and finished with 19 points and Ray Bowles scored 17 points and sparked a late run Pacific used to pull away from Sacramento State 74-58 on Thursday night.

David Taylor added 13 and Tonko Vuko grabbed 11 rebounds for the Tigers (3-3), who have not been beaten by the Hornets in Stockton since 1952.

Trailing 32-31 at halftime, Pacific scored six straight and led 41-36 on Wallace's jumper, but the Hornets were back on top after a 9-0 run. Bowles' two free throws sparked a 22-4 Pacific run while the Hornets went without a field goal for nearly six minutes and the Tigers won going away.

Pacific made 22 of 30 free throws and scored 19 points off of 12 Hornets turnovers.

Justin Strings scored 18 points, Eric Stuteville added 15 and Nick Hornsby scored 10 for Sacramento State (1-6), which has lost four straight.
