Bethune-Cookman hits 13 3s in 85-56 win over Delaware State

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) Diamante Lewis scored 21 points to help Bethune Cookman beat Delaware State 85-56 on Saturday.

Lewis made three 3-pointers and Jordan Potts had a team-high four makes as Bethune-Cookman was 13 of 35 from distance. Potts finished with 14 points.

Potts and Lewis each scored 11 points in the first half as Bethune-Cookman built a 36-23 lead.

LaRon Smith had 10 points and 15 rebounds and Quinton Forrest scored 11 points for Bethune-Cookman (9-15, 6-4 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), which has won three straight games.

Devin Morgan Jr. led Delaware State (4-19, 2-6) with 15 points. Aric Dickerson had 11 points and Joseph Lewis added nine points with 12 rebounds for the Hornets, who made just 35 percent of their shots. Ten of Delaware State's 21 field goals were from 3-point range.
