Werner stars as Leipzig beats Celtic 2-0 in Champions League

Timo Werner has scored his first Champions League goal since returning to Leipzig to help secure a 2-0 win at Celtic

Goal, assist in win Werner scored one goal and assisted once from three shots and two chances created in Tuesday's 2-0 victory against Celtic.

Impact Werner scored and provided an assist to return to the goals after a two-match drought. The striker was shut down in the reverse fixture in Leipzig, so it's a good sign for his outlook to make the most of the trip to Scotland. Werner has four goals and two assists in all competitions since returning to Leipzig in the summer.
