Plays second half against Tottenham Werner (COVID-19) played the entire second half in Wednesday's 2-0 Cup win against Tottenham.

Impact Werner is again an option after missing the last two weeks with COVID-19. It's a nice boost to the squad coming into the new year after a mixed bag of results in the first half of the season. He has some good performances, but most of those came in UCL, as he has just one goal and one assist in nine league appearances (six starts).

Edging closer to fitness Werner (COVID-19) returned to training and could be well enough to make the bench for Wednesday's Cup match, according to manager Thomas Tuchel.

Impact Werner has missed the team's last five league matches, but it looks like he's on the other side now and could make the bench Wednesday. If all goes well, he should be ready to start for the team's next league match Jan. 15 at Man City. Until then, Chelsea have two Cup matches to play in.
