Quinn Hughes - Sitting out again Tuesday Hughes (lower body) will remain sidelined for Tuesday's home matchup against the Rangers, per Canucks Army.
Impact Hughes will miss another game after sitting out his first of the season Sunday versus the Oilers. The severity of the 26-year-old blueliner's injury is unknown, but his next chance to return to the lineup will come Thursday in St. Louis. Marcus Pettersson will continue to skate next to Filip Hronek on the No. 1 pairing in Hughes' stead.

Thatcher Demko - First goalie off Tuesday Demko was the first goalie to leave the ice Tuesday, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports, indicating he'll tend the twine at home versus the Rangers.
Impact Demko will make consecutive starts for only the second time this season, having split the last eight games with Kevin Lankinen. For his part, the 29-year-old Demko is sporting a 4-2-0 record, 2.36 GAA and .922 save percentage through six appearances this year. Eventually, Demko figures to take a larger share of the workload, though Vancouver figures to take a cautious approach given the netminder's injury history.

Tom Willander - Promoted from AHL Willander was recalled from AHL Abbotsford on Tuesday.
Impact The Canucks are dealing with multiple injuries on the blue line, so Willander might draw into the lineup Tuesday versus the Rangers if Quinn Hughes (lower body) is unable to suit up. The 20-year-old Willander has yet to make his NHL debut, so he'd likely receive sheltered minutes on the third pairing if he's forced into action in the near future.

Derek Forbort - Shifts to LTIR Forbort (undisclosed) was placed on long-term injured reserve Tuesday.
Impact In corresponding moves, the Canucks put Victor Mancini on injured reserve and recalled Tom Willander from AHL Abbotsford. Forbort has already missed the last eight games. He will be eligible to play against Chicago on Nov. 5, but it's unclear when he will be available to return to the lineup.

Impact Mancini was injured during Sunday's 4-3 overtime win over Edmonton, and he'll now miss at least the next three games. His placement on IR is retroactive to Oct. 26, so he'll be eligible to return to the lineup in Nashville on Monday. If Quinn Hughes (lower body) is unable to play against the Rangers on Tuesday, Tom Willander, who was recalled from AHL Abbotsford, will be an option to draw into the lineup, likely in a third-pairing capacity.
