Quinn Hughes - Is week-to-week Hughes (undisclosed) is week-to-week, coach Rick Tocchet told Jeff Paterson of CanucksArmy.com on Sunday.
Impact Hughes won't travel with the Canucks for their upcoming games in Calgary and Seattle on Tuesday and Thursday, respectively, but if he's week-to-week, then he'll likely miss more than just those two games. The 25-year-old defenseman has eight goals and 42 points in 34 outings in 2024-25. His absence has created an opportunity for Erik Brannstrom to play regularly and serve on the top power-play unit.

Elias Pettersson - Won't travel with team Pettersson (undisclosed) won't travel with the Canucks for their upcoming games in Calgary on Tuesday and Seattle on Thursday, per Jeff Paterson of CanucksArmy.com.
Impact Coach Rick Tocchet described Pettersson as "a week away," so he might also miss Friday's home tilt against Nashville. The 26-year-old Pettersson has 10 goals and 28 points in 34 appearances in 2024-25. Conor Garland is likely to continue to serve in the top six while Pettersson is unavailable.

Derek Forbort - Grabs helper in overtime loss Forbort provided an assist and added two PIM in Saturday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Kraken.
Impact Forbort played a season-high 20:07 of ice time since the Canucks were without the services of Quinn Hughes (undisclosed). The helper was Forbort's second through nine contests this season. He's added six shots on net, seven hits, 11 blocked shots and eight PIM while typically seeing third-pairing minutes. He may be in for a larger role as long as Hughes is out.

Danton Heinen - Contributes assist Heinen produced an assist in Saturday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Kraken.
Impact Heinen has done fairly well in a bottom-six role lately, earning five points over his last eight games. The 29-year-old received a bump up to the third line as part of the domino effect of Elias Pettersson (undisclosed) missing Saturday's game. Heinen has 15 points, 30 shots on net, 29 PIM, 40 hits, 21 blocked shots and a plus-4 rating through 35 outings this season.

Conor Garland - Pots goal in overtime loss Garland scored a goal on two shots and added two PIM in Saturday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Kraken.
Impact Garland has gotten on the scoresheet in three straight games for the first time in December. The winger tallied a go-ahead goal in the second period. For the season, the 28-year-old has produced nine goals, 19 assists, 80 shots on net, 22 hits, 21 blocked shots, 17 PIM and a plus-3 rating through 35 appearances. He's likely to maintain a top-six role at least until Elias Pettersson (undisclosed) can return, though Garland has also found some success on the third line.

J.T. Miller - Supplies pair of assists Miller logged two assists, including one on the power play, and added two shots on goal and two hits in Saturday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Kraken.
Impact Miller has seven assists over his last eight ganes, including three of the power play. He's taken just 10 shots on net in that span and has yet to break his goal drought. The 31-year-old center has 23 points, 45 shots on net, 56 hits, 13 PIM and a minus-2 rating over 25 appearances in 2024-25 and continues to be productive in a top-six role.

Jake DeBrusk - Two points in overtime loss DeBrusk scored a goal on four shots and added a power-play assist in Saturday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Kraken.
Impact DeBrusk has four points over his last three games. While he had a rough patch in the middle of December, he's back on track while playing in a top-six role. The winger is up to 16 goals, 11 helpers, nine power-play points, 78 shots on net, 52 hits and a plus-1 rating over 35 appearances.

Carson Soucy - Two helpers Saturday Soucy picked up two assists in Saturday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Kraken.
Impact Both helpers came in the second period as the Canucks built a 4-1 lead they would let slip away late. It was Soucy's first multi-point performance of the season, and through 35 appearances he's delivered a goal and six points with 58 blocked shots, 53 hits, 41 shots on net, 24 PIM and a minus-8 rating.

Brock Boeser - Two tallies in OT loss Boeser scored two goals, one on the power play, in Saturday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Kraken.
Impact The 27-year-old winger has had a very productive week around the Christmas break, scoring five goals in Vancouver's last three contests. Boeser is up to '13 goals and 24 points through 28 appearances on the season, including four goals and five helpers on the man advantage, with 53 shots on net, 30 hits, 14 PIM and a minus-6 rating.

Thatcher Demko - Fades late in OT loss Demko stopped 24 shots in Saturday's 5-4 overtime loss to Seattle.
Impact The Canucks seemed to have the game well in hand when Jake DeBrusk gave them a 4-1 lead early in the third period, but Demko could weather a late storm from the Kraken, surrendering three goals in the final five minutes of regulation before Vince Dunn completed the comeback in OT. Demko has just one regulation loss in six starts since making his season debut earlier this month, but his 2-1-3 record, 3.43 GAA and .879 save percentage indicate he still hasn't regained his pre-injury form.

Elias Pettersson - Ruled out Pettersson (undisclosed) won't play Saturday against Seattle, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports.
Impact Pettersson was forced out of Monday's game after suffering an apparent injury in the second period and will now miss Saturday's contest as well. Max Sasson is expected to enter the lineup in a bottom-six role in Pettersson's absence. The 26-year-old center's next chance to play will come Tuesday in Calgary.
