Kevin Lankinen - Tending twine in Montreal
Lankinen will be between the road pipes versus the Canadiens, per Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650.
Impact
Lankinen will make his 27th appearance of the season Monday -- the 29-year-old is sporting a 15-7-4 record, .908 save percentage and 2.54 GAA. Montreal is tied for 19th in the NHL with 2.95 goals per game. While their record is nothing to write home about, the Canadiens have played very well lately, going 4-1-0 in their last five games.

Quinn Hughes - Suiting up Monday
Hughes (undisclosed) took the ice for the pregame skate, indicating he'll be in the lineup Monday in Montreal, Thomas Drance of The Athletic reports.
Impact
Hughes will avoid missing his fifth consecutive game, and it comes at the right time as the Canucks are kicking off a five-game road trip Monday. The all-world blueliner will occupy his usual spot on the top pairing in addition to quarterbacking the No. 1 power-play unit. Guillaume Brisebois will come out of the lineup as a result of Hughes' return.

Thatcher Demko - Not expected to play Monday
Demko (back) isn't expected to be available for Monday's road game against the Canadiens, Ben Kuzma of Postmedia reports.
Impact
Although Demko is traveling with the Canucks as they begin their road trip, it appears as though he'll be forced to miss at least one more game. Head coach Rick Tocchet said after Monday's morning skate that he doesn't think Demko will play unless "he feels great," so the goaltender's next opportunity to return will presumably be Wednesday in Washington.

Dakota Joshua - Deemed week-to-week
Joshua (leg) is week-to-week after landing on injured reserve Monday, according to Thomas Drance of The Athletic.
Impact
Joshua sustained the injury in Friday's 3-0 loss to Nashville. He has contributed two goals, four points, 10 shots on net, 11 blocked shots and 83 hits across 24 appearances this season. With Elias Pettersson (undisclosed) unlikely to play versus Montreal, Jonathan Lekkerimaki will replace Joshua in Monday's lineup.

ROTOWIRE
Quinn Hughes - Game-time decision
Hughes (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision against Montreal on Monday, according to Thomas Drance of The Athletic.
Impact
Hughes participated in Sunday's practice and worked on the top power-play unit, suggesting he is very close to returning from a four-game absence. He has amassed eight goals and 42 points through 34 appearances this season. If Hughes receives the green light to play against the Canadiens, Guillaume Brisebois could come out of the lineup.

ROTOWIRE
Elias Pettersson - Unlikely to play Monday
Pettersson (undisclosed) is doubtful for Monday's road game against the Canadiens, Thomas Drance of The Athletic reports.
Impact
While head coach Rick Tocchet said that he'd check on Pettersson after the Canucks' morning skate Monday, Tocchet also said that he doesn't think the 26-year-old will be able to return to action against Montreal. Assuming Pettersson is sidelined, Jonathan Lekkerimaki could enter the lineup after being recalled from AHL Abbotsford on Monday.

Jonathan Lekkerimaki - Recalled by Vancouver
Lekkerimaki was recalled from AHL Abbotsford on an emergency basis Monday.
Impact
Lekkerimaki made five appearances for the Canucks in mid-November and recorded a goal, four hits, two PIM and a minus-4 rating while averaging 14:48 of ice time. He'll rejoin the NHL club and could see some playing time in the near future since Elias Pettersson (undisclosed) and Dakota Joshua (leg) are both on injured reserve.

Dakota Joshua - Designated for IR
Joshua, who suffered an apparent leg injury against Nashville on Friday per The Vancouver Sun, was placed on injured reserve Monday.
Impact
Joshua's IR designation was retroactive but he'll still be out of action for at least the Canucks' next two games. Prior to getting hurt, the 28-year-old winger was mired in a seven-game pointless streak dating back to Dec. 18 versus Utah. With Joshua on the shelf, the Canucks recalled Jonathan Lekkerimaki from AHL Abbotsford in a corresponding move.
