Teddy Blueger - Goes quiet on offense Blueger's point drought extended to 13 games in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Capitals.

Impact Blueger was excellent as a depth scorer earlier in the season, but his offense has pretty much dried up since the holiday break. The 30-year-old is still seeing decent ice time in a bottom-six role, but the Canucks have their full complement of centers available, so Blueger's ceiling has been capped on the fourth line. He has 17 points, 53 shots on net, 70 hits and a minus-11 rating over 48 appearances. If a trade involving J.T. Miller or Elias Pettersson materializes, Blueger may take on increased responsibilities once again.

Nils Hoglander - Contributes helper in win Hoglander notched an assist, two shots on goal and five hits in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Capitals.

Impact Hoglander was scratched Thursday versus the Oilers but rejoined the lineup due to the absence of Kiefer Sherwood (undisclosed). Hoglander slotted in on the third line and set up the first of Quinn Hughes' two goals this season. The helper was Hoglander's 10th point through 40 outings, and he's added 47 shots on net, 52 hits, 24 PIM and a plus-1 rating. He's earned five of his points over his last 13 contests, but the uptick on offense has yet to lead to a noticeably larger role for the winger.

Impact Boeser extended his point streak to four games (one goal, four assists) when he set up Quinn Hughes' game-winner early in the second period. While Boeser's goal-scoring pace has cooled a bit, the playmaking at least partially makes up for it. The winger has 16 tallies, 16 assists, 81 shots on net, 40 hits and a minus-9 rating across 41 appearances this season while filling a top-six role.

Filip Hronek - Dishes pair of assists Hronek notched two assists, two hits and two blocked shots in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Capitals.

Impact This was Hronek's first multi-point effort in six games since he returned from a lower-body injury. The 27-year-old defenseman was back on the top pairing Saturday after ceding that spot to Mark Friedman for Thursday's game in Edmonton. Hronek is up to 13 points, 34 shots on net, 43 hits, 30 blocked shots and a plus-9 rating over 27 appearances. He doesn't have the scoring upside of defensive partner Quinn Hughes, but Hronek provides a bit of physicality while playing massive minutes.

Impact Hughes tallied once in each of the first two periods, giving Kevin Lankinen enough support to get the win. During his current five-game point streak, Hughes has five goals and two assists. He's logged multiple points in four of 10 outings in January, and the star defenseman is up to 14 tallies, 54 points, 130 shots on net, 44 blocked shots and a plus-12 rating through 44 appearances.

Kevin Lankinen - Quiets Capitals Lankinen stopped 32 of 33 shots in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Capitals.

Impact Lankinen was able to make a couple of Quinn Hughes goals stand for the win in the former's return to the crease. Lankinen had missed one game due to an illness and backed up Thursday versus the Oilers before making this start. Aside from a couple of ugly performances, Lankinen has been the better of the Canucks' goalies recently, as Thatcher Demko has struggled to get going following a lengthy absence to begin 2024-25. After Saturday's win, Lankinen is 17-8-6 with a 2.58 GAA and a .905 save percentage over 31 outings. The Canucks embark on a three-game road trip for most of the next week, beginning Monday in St. Louis.
