Derek Forbort - Scores game-winner against Isles Forbort scored a goal in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Islanders.
Impact Forbort has a point in each of the last two games, but that uptick in offense shouldn't be expected to last. The 33-year-old defenseman has played in a third-pairing role for the bulk of the season, and he's at nine points, 35 shots on net, 46 hits, 48 PIM and 69 blocked shots through 46 appearances. The game-winner was his first such goal since the 2022-23 campaign.

Impact The one-time Islanders prospect was able to score against the team that drafted him. Raty is filling in as the fourth-line center while both of Elias Pettersson (undisclosed) and Filip Chytil (concussion) are out. Raty is up to three goals, two assists, 18 shots on net, 57 hits and a minus-1 rating over 23 NHL appearances this season, so he's unlikely to make a significant impact for fantasy.

Impact Blueger snapped a nine-game goal drought with his insurance tally in the third period. In that stretch, he had three assists, 11 shots on net and 17 hits. The 30-year-old center is filling in on the second line in the absences of Elias Pettersson (undisclosed) and Filip Chytil (concussion). Blueger has most often been a bottom-six center this year, racking up eight goals, 23 points, 82 shots on net, 97 hits, 41 blocked shots and a minus-7 rating over 72 contests.

Impact Both helpers came in the third period as the Canucks pulled away. It was O'Connor's first multi-point performance since Jan. 9, and in 21 appearances since coming over from the Penguins at the end of January, he's produced four goals and eight points.

Impact He opened and closed the scoring for the Canucks, and in between he helped set up a second-period tally by Aatu Raty. Sherwood also chipped in four shots on net, four hits, a blocked shot and a plus-3 rating, and he's become a more well-rounded fantasy asset in March. Over the last 12 games, the 29-year-old winger has four goals and nine points in addition to his usual physical play with 81 hits. Sherwood leads the NHL with 404 hits through 68 appearances, and he's nearly lapping the field -- Luke Schenn is in second place with 270.

Impact The 29-year-old netminder has started two straight games since returning from a lower-body injury that had sidelined him since the 4 Nations Face-Off, and he's won them both. The Canucks sit three points back of the Blues in the race for the final wild-card spot in the Western Conference, and if Demko is healthy and back in something close to peak form, he should see a heavy workload over the final weeks of the season.
