Returns to practice Thursday Hockenson (foot) was a limited participant in practice Thursday.

Impact Hockenson sat out Wednesday's session due to the foot issue, but his ability to take some reps Thursday seemingly puts him in good position to suit up this weekend against the Seahawks. The availability of other key targets in Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle), DJ Chark (ankle) and D'Andre Swift (shoulder/shoulder) is less certain, and Hockenson could be in store for more involvement in the passing game than usual if any of those three players aren't available Sunday. Through three games, Hockenson is averaging 27.3 receiving yards on six targets per contest.

Impact Hockenson was bothered by a hip injury during Week 3 prep but still suited up this past Sunday in Minnesota, reeling in three of four targets for 18 yards and one touchdown. Production has been lacking for the fourth-year tight end this season, as he's compiled a 10-82-1 line on 18 targets through three contests. In the short term, though, Hockenson's status should be watched as the week goes on. with Friday's practice report potentially providing insight into his odds to suit up Sunday versus the Seahawks.

Impact On a day when Josh Reynolds paced the Lions in most receiving categories, Hockenson saw a downturn in targets after seeing seven in each of his first two outings of the year. Fortunately, he salvaged his fantasy day by snagging his first touchdown of the year on a bootleg that left Hockenson wide open in the flats. While fantasy managers still have yet to see a ceiling game out of the fourth-year tight end, it will be interesting to see if Hockenson could become a bigger priority in Detroit's short-area passing game if D'Andre Swift (shoulder) needs to miss time after suffering an injury for the second time in as many weeks.

Impact Despite having a cap on his practice reps during Week 3 prep, Hockenson will play through a hip issue Sunday. His output has been lacking through two games, with a catch rate of 50 percent and 4.6 YPT on his 14 targets. Fortunately for Hockenson, he's taking on a Vikings defense that has given up a league-worst 10.6 YPT to tight ends this season.

If not, Brock Wright would be the best bet for snaps and targets at tight end for the Lions.

The 25-year-old tight end doesn't appear to be in danger of sitting out in Week 3 against the Vikings, and he'll look to step up his production after mustering just 64 yards through two games.

He's seen 14 targets through two weeks while handling an every-down role, but with only seven catches for 64 yards he's still looking for his first productive day as a pass catcher ahead of Sunday's road game against the Vikings.

Impact Hockenson yet again saw a healthy amount of attention in the passing game, but he didn't do much with the chances he had outside of a fourth-quarter fingertip catch that went for 18 yards. Instead, Amon-Ra St. Brown remained the focal point of the Lions' passing game while D'Andre Swift, DJ Chark and Josh Reynolds saw a handful of looks. While Hockenson investors can at least take solace in the fact that the tight end ranks second on the team and top 10 among tight ends in targets in advance of Monday night's games, Hockenson will need to show heightened involvement near the red zone or as a downfield receiver in order to become a reliable fantasy option. Next up is a Week 3 road matchup with the Vikings.
